A Christmas Gift for Nineveh (Dutch)

Ook dit jaar zullen wij vanuit Nederland de kinderen in de provincie Nineveh in het noorden van Irak (Assyrië) een geschenk geven met de kerstdagen. Afgelopen jaren hebben de Assyrische kinderen in de Nineveh vlakte dankzij de steun van mensen in Nederland en andere landen zoals Duitsland, Zweden en de Verenigde Staten, een onvergetelijke avond beleeft toen de Kerstman hun verraste met een zak vol cadeautjes. Dit project is in 2004 opgestart door Firas Jatou, voorzitter van de Assyrian Academic Society (www.aas.net) en later breed gedragen door meerdere Assyrische organisaties wereldwijd.

Just like the previous year, we will surprise the kids in the province of Nineveh in Northern Iraq (Assyria) on Christmas. The past years we received donations from all over the world to support this event. The kids in this war-torn country experienced an unforgettable evening when Santa Claus appeared at their houses with a bag full of Christmas gifts. The program was created by Firas Jatou, President of the Assyrian Academic Society, back in 2004 to provide gifts for the children in Nineveh in northern Iraq.
